Growing to 300 or more members in our congregation.  This is our goal for 2008! 

Why?

We are blessed to be a blessing and the more members we have, our opportunity to reach out and share the love of God is expanded.  As members of the Body, we each have a part.  It takes all of the members coming together to be complete.  We have an important job to do!  Our job is to reach a dark world with the message of Jesus and to let our light shine to bring hope to those who have none.  It is our job to influence other believers to grow into full maturity in Him.  As individuals, our roles are important but as a complete body we can accomplish so much more.

What can you do to help reach this goal?

Spread the word!  We are blessed with pastors who not only love God with all their hearts but who have a genuine love for each person they come in contact with.  Let's help them come in contact with more people than ever and all we have to do is share with others the blessings we have received from their influence and affect on us.

Set a personal goal to share with a minimum of 10 people each week about our church, our pastors and our church family.

The top 8 points to share:

  • We are a body of believers who are obedient to the love commandment of our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • We are believers who are developing into mature "Christ-persons." We are discovering our identity in Christ and growing up in Him.
  • We are a church where the truth of God's Word is exalted, honored and proclaimed.
  • We are a church where outreach (both personal and corporate) is primary. We are reaching the city, the nation, and the world.
  • We are a melting pot church.
  • We are a church where leaders are being developed and where believers are being challenged to discover and exercise their gifts.
  • We are a family of believers. We have fellowship in church and outside of church.
  • No cliques here.

Our Confession for Church Growth...

Father, we thank You today that our church, CLCC, is filled to overflowing with God-loving, God-worshiping, God-serving people; people whose number one agenda is to please You.  And Father, we thank You that when anyone whose life is not like what we just confessed, that this is what they will become, if they will remain a part of our body.  They will submit themselves to Your process of growth and maturity in Christ.  And Father, we thank You today that You have made us the light of the world.  We are cities set on hills that cannot be hid. So, we let our lights so shine before men that they may see our good works and glorify You as our Father, in Jesus' Name, Amen.

What's next?

Now...pray and believe the above confession daily and know that together we WILL reach our goal.  Next, get out there and share!  Invite anyone and everyone you meet to worship with us.  All you have to do is invite them - the Holy Spirit will do the rest!  But if you don't open your mouth and share, they will be the ones who miss out.  Remember...at least 10 people per week!   On average when you share with 10, three will visit and one will join us. 

(LET'S HAVE FUN!  Bring the names of the people you share with and for every 10 people  you submit, you will receive an entry into a special drawing for ministry materials!)
